Read Chapter 1: New Beginnings. When you are finished, print out and sign the Agreement to Self. After you sign it, consider placing it somewhere where you will see it every day, to remind yourself of this important journey and your commitment to it.



If you are unable to sign the Agreement to Self, it is possibly a sign of a


deep wound or sabotaging pattern that prevents you from moving forward


in your life. If this is the case, I ask that you take a few days to examine


how being stuck or not having the ability to commit to a self-supportive


process is at play in other areas of your life: your relationships, your eating,


your career, your family. If you find that it is a common denominator


in your life, then let’s explore a way to change that. Sometimes an honest


conversation with someone such as a close friend, spouse or a coach can
